Hi, I'm bazza2000

Welcome to the forum.

I've created this forum as there wasn't anything provided by British Gas to allow customer discussions.

Please feel free to introduce yourself and your setup.

I'll be expanding the forums etc in due course, including looking for moderators etc to help out, so let me know if you're interested.

Bazza.

Hi,
Had my Hive system installed last Thursday and think it's great.
My system was pretty finely tuned anyway with wireless thermostat, but I do love my gadgets.
Ash.

Good to have you onboard Ash,

I've been tinckering with mine this weekend and looks pretty sweet. I was planning to try and get something setup with a Raspberry PI as the controller but couldn't commit the time to the project. Now its all done for me and a pretty fine job it is too!

Hi Guys

Great idea setting up a forum like this - we're having the installation done w/c 11/11 and are looking forward to it - despite there being plenty of naysayers on the web, we think that this will offer us both convenience and money saving (we think that in our circumstances it'll pay for itself in well under a year). Plus we're gadget freaks, so hey - what's not to love!

I can see a fairly significant take-up of Hive at this price-point, so hopefully the forum will grow quite quickly. Our only slight concern is that BG will add a lot more to their smarter homes range and sort of leave Hive behind, as I understand they have done with the earlier remote heating setup - "want the new one, well pay us again!". Be good if future developments were available as add ons to Hive as opposed to superseding it.

Will watch the forum with interest.

Best

Matt.

Hi everybody

Had my hive installed a couple of days ago to replace a drayton wireless programmer. So far seems very good and working with no problems.

At least this give everybody a place to get together for a bit more information than the instruction left by the engineer so thanks bazza2000 for giving us somewhere to get together.

Guess I better introduce myself.

Had the system installed last week, it's great.

I want to monitor the system as much as I can, to get as much info as possible, particularly boiler operation.

Happy to test out any apps that are being developed.
