In case anyone's not seen this, BG have announced here: http://blog.hivehome.com/2015/02/13/exciting-news-for-hive-today/ (13 February 2015) that they have agreed to acquire AlertMe, the internet-of-things platform provider that powers Hive.

As the Hive blog states: 'This move will allow us to realise our vision for the connected home as we’ll be in full control of the roadmap. It means we’ll be much more agile in delivering truly magical products which can help you to re-imagine the way you live in your home.'

They also promise that 'you can look forward to some of our top requested Hive Active Heating features landing later this year, including zonal control (heat different zones in your house), heating boost (boost your heating for a short period of time) and optimum start functionality (choose to have your heating learn the exact time to come on to reach your set temperature).'

Exciting times!

Mike
